About Izzah Pulse
Built on Izzah.
In Arabic, izzah means honor, dignity and strength. It’s how we want our community to feel about where we eat, who we support and what we build together.
Our mission
Our mission is to unite the Muslim community through what we discover, support and build together, turning everyday life into a lasting legacy of dignity, prosperity and purpose.
How we do it
Discover. Support. Build.
Discover
Every week, the Pulse brings you halal food we’ve verified, events with real dates and the people making our community proud. Know what’s happening, and know you can trust it.
Support
When you know where to go, your time and money find their way to Muslim-owned businesses, masjids and causes that make our neighborhoods stronger.
Build
We have bigger plans, still in the research stage: Pulse rewards for the people who show up for our local spots, crowdfunding for the Muslim causes we care about, and many more. Curious? Just ask.
Our promise
Trust comes first.
Halal first, and we show our work.
Food only makes the Pulse if it’s halal and we can tell you how we know: a certifier, the restaurant’s own word or a trusted listing.
Real events, real dates.
Every event comes from an official page with a date in the week we cover. No rumors, no guesswork.
Sourced and credited.
We name our sources and credit the people behind the photos and stories, so you can check anything we say.
Who we are
From the community, for the community.
Izzah Pulse was founded by Mohammed Battla, a New York-based entrepreneur with about two decades in banking. He saw a community with real economic power, and a lot of that power going unseen. Izzah Pulse starts with something simple: helping you find what’s worth your time, your trust and your money, close to home.
We’re starting in New York and New Jersey, from Hicksville and Jackson Heights to Paterson and Manhattan, and growing one neighborhood at a time.
